Artists to be payed royalties by Apple during free music trial because of Taylor Swift

Taylor swift just saved your ass from not being payed royalties.  Apple wasn't going to pay artists any royalties during the free Apple music trial which didn't make sense to me.  In an open letter to Apple Taylor Swift expressed her concerns and stated she would pull her album from Apple's streaming service.  Taylor Swift claims that this was not about her but about the underdog indie artist.

Swift wrote:

"This is not about me. Thankfully I am on my fifth album and can support myself, my band, crew, and entire management team by playing live shows. This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success. This is about the young songwriter who just got his or her first cut and thought that the royalties from that would get them out of debt. This is about the producer who works tirelessly to innovate and create, just like the innovators and creators at Apple are pioneering in their field…but will not get paid for a quarter of a year’s worth of plays on his or her songs."

Apple responded to the Taylor swift's letter by reversing their decision and will now pay artists their well deserved royalties.

I really enjoy dj'ing at nightclub events because it gives me the opportunity to play music I really love listening to.
